Cat Friendly Clinic

At our Purleigh and Maldon branches we are able to support a Cat Friendly service. This means the environment, the service we provide and the conditions within the practice are optimised towards the psychological and physical comfort of our feline friends.

At Purleigh we have a screen divided waiting room which separates cats and dogs, we use diffusers which give off a calming natural pheromone to destress cats and have pheromone infused blankets in the waiting area to cover cages for further comfort. Purleigh also offers separate cat kennels where classical music is played to not only sooth our residents but to help drown out any outside sounds which may unsettle our guests. We have a full stock of different cat litters, foods, bowls and cage set ups to ensure cats staying with us get the home comforts they are used to. We have a selection of cubbie holes so they are able to hide away if they want to, or some use them to stand on to give them some extra height and in turn; comfort. Some of our team members are trained in the art of a cat friendly approach and practice certain techniques of lifting holding and handling to provide the best experience we can.
