Thank you Edgewood for patching up our dog yesterday (Saturday). We are so relieved that you’re open at the weekends and this weekend we needed you. We called first thing and was offered an appointment within half an hour and by 4 hours later Crumble had been operated on and recovering well. We appreciate how you have all had to adapt with being COVID-19 safe, and we felt exactly that, safe. Thank you to everyone who helped Crumble, much appreciated.
I have recently moved to the area and knew of Edgewood vets along time ago when my parents had dogs and used them so registered with them. Excellent care and understanding from receptionists, nurses and vets. Nothing is too much trouble or rushed. In the last year I have used them alot for routine vaccinations, an operation and a put to sleep. An outstanding service thank you
I have a very anxious dog that is terrified of the vets. Any how she needed surgery on Friday and the vets were brilliant at forming a plan that was going to be less traumatic for. Needless to say it went really well. I can’t thank the team for being so caring and professional.
All the vets at Edgewood are excellent. They are genuinely interested in your pet(s) and they will do their very best to cure/alleviate any problems. The Pet Health Club is a great way to budget for vaccinations and regular flea and worm treatment and discounts on services and products. Opening hours are extensive and there is plenty of free parking on site. The receptionists are always polite, friendly and helpful, as are the wonderful nurses. I have no hesitation in recommending Edgewood and I am confident that my pets are in the best place possible for routine and unexpected treatment.
Well. Where to begin The service I have received with all my poorly puppies has been above and beyond anything I could have wished for and my puppies have sure thrown some odd problems at the staff. I would not go anywhere else
They have cared for both our Rough Collies (sadly neither are with us anymore). We’ve always received a first class service, excellent advice and can not fault the staff, vets, nurses or reception team. Sadly, during lockdown we had to make the heartbreaking decision to end our time with Sam. The vet made a very, very hard decision a little easier by her kind words, explanations of his condition and although they are trained to deal with such sad and painful times, they are humans and to see the owners obvious pain and sadness isn’t easy, and we felt the vets care of us to be highly commendable.

Being still a relatively new client to Edgewood, but having been to them for around 6 appointments, one being almost an emergency. I would recommend them anytime. We live in Witham and moved over from our previous practice to Edgewood, after a recommendation from a friend who's a vet. It's not our closest practice, but their quality of care is well worth the drive. Everyone is very professional, friendly and kind. Their care of my dogs has been excellent. They suggested we send photos and within 15 mins they had found her through social media which was even more amazing as I was in the middle of a wood looking for her ! Having recently moved to the area, I can’t recommend Edgewood enough, their very quick diagnosis of an unusual problem and prompt referral meant I still have my dog with me today. They have always shown a genuine care for all animals we have taken to them and provided a great customer experience (even in highly upsetting circumstances) - their service and genuine love of all animals really shows through from all of the vets and nurses we have met there, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone
A big thank you to Daniel for his great efforts with our old boy Barney who sadly was PTS on 16th March. The sterling efforts we received to keep Barney comfortable and pain free in his final days was second to none. Can't be praised enough.This practice is so caring with a true love for all our 4 legged friends.
Thank you so much Edgewood! We couldn’t be more pleased with the service we received. When our puppy Pablo was 11 weeks old he got injured and needed an operation. The wound had to be left open due to how large it was, and we look Pablo back daily for dressing changes for a few weeks. They even gave Pablo a Christmas bandage and let us come by on Boxing Day when they were closed for a dressing change! All of the receptionists are so lovely and know Pablo as soon as we walk in! The vets is always so clean and everybody is so welcoming and friendly. Nicola took on Pablo’s case and he has definitely found a best friend in her! They always gave the best advice and knew exactly what to do! As first time puppy owners we were nervous choosing a vets to register him under. After a lot of research we decided to go for Edgewood and we are so so pleased we did! We believe if we didn’t go with Edgewood Pablo wouldn’t of received the care he did, thank you so so much to everyone at Edgewood, especially Nicola! Pablo even received the brave heart award!
The service we have recieved from all the staff at purleigh vets for the past 8 months with our Rosie, they have been truly amazing to her and us the family. Many emergency phone calls and always got an appointment that day. The lovely ladies on reception who could not resist those eyes of Rosie for treats. Sadly our Rosie lost her fight for life last week, and today we paid our last visit to Purleigh to collect her. You are truly an amazing practice and I would not hesitate to recommend you . I have 2 typically sensitive Rhodesian Ridgebacks, of which breed many vets seem to be wary of. I have to say though that I’m so impressed with Becky and Dan, who handled my Django perfectly! Vets like this are hard to find, so I would definitely highly recommend them. The girls at reception are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful too. Thank you for being so patient and giving Django time to get to know and trust you. Very efficient service.

I cannot thank Jürgen enough along with his team for the time, effort and love they have showed us the past few days, we had a very very poorly puppy who was only 9 weeks old (MAY) who unfortunately had to be put to sleep, however he tried everything for her to keep her here! Its the toughest thing and hardest thing to do but it was the best option for her! Once again i cannot begin to thank Jürgen and his amazing team enough, its very much appreciated!
Would just like to thank everyone at Purleigh vets for saving my little girl Remy, you all acted so fast that I can’t believe she’s still here! Great staff, I have been with this surgery for 15 years and can’t express my happiness today as I brought Remy home after she had a very large pyometra weighing 1.5kg.
I feel very confident that my much-loved Tibetan Spaniel, ‘Timber’, is in the most capable hands. He just loves going to see Jürgen who has amazing patience with him. He is a great attention-seeker and Jürgen actually sits on the floor with him so that he can examine him and rub his tummy at the same time which ‘Timber’ loves! I have the utmost faith in Jürgen and cannot recommend him highly enough.
Amazing team have treated all the puppies I’ve walked for Guide Dogs For The Blind. They deal with everyday issues and emergencies with calmness and care. Thank you for all your help.
My baby Casper was rushed into the vets from the kennels as we was on holiday in Spain on Dec 22nd he was diagnosed with pneumonia and very unwell. The vets rang us every day with an update on his health which was constantly changing. the owner Jurgen looked on him on Christmas Eve went into him three times on Christmas Day but on Boxing Day Casper took a turn for the worse we booked flights at one o'clock was on a plane at four and standing in the vets at 7.50. Casper perked up but was gravely ill but the vets had done everything for him but they feared he had a tumor in his lungs. We asked to take him home for the night and bring him back in the morning to be put to sleep. But over night he started eating...drinking....going in the garden we stayed awake with him all night. When we took him back in the morning they said a long fight ahead but his alive we brought him home with two weeks worth of pills he now has had six weeks worth of pills and has had his last x-rays that showed clear of pneumonia and no tumor. They saved his life and worked tirelessly for five days to keep him alive and we like to think that us getting back to be with him gave him the will to fight. I would recommend this vets to everyone they go beyond to help any animal. We hope Jurgen wins vet of the year cause to us him and his team are heroes. Thank you with all our hearts.

I have been coming to the vets with my dogs for many years and a few cats along the way x I have always found the staff very friendly and professional x Recently my cavalier Louie had to be put to sleep and I was absolutely devastated, and Juergen has been there all the way, through diagnosis of heart disease and to the very end, sometimes having to put up with me sobbing for no reason, but we was always so supportive until the end and had such a way with the animals that they always felt at ease x I have today received this amazing card from them all and felt the need to post something to say how amazed I was to receive it, I will treasure my memories with Louie and will save this amazing card from u all too thank u so much.
